يعتبرُ تعلّمُ لغةٍ جديدةٍ من الأمور المُهمّة جدّاً في حياةِ الإنسان؛ إذ إنّ الاهتمامَ بتعلّمِ لغةٍ تختلفُ عن اللّغة الأم يُساهمُ في الحصول على مهاراتٍ لغويّة جديدة، بالإضافة إلى مجموعةٍ من المهارات الأُخرى؛ كالمَهارات التعليميّة والتربويّة، لذلك سعتْ العديدُ من الشّعوب إلى تعلّم لغاتٍ جديدة تختلفُ عن اللّغة الأصليّة الخاصّة بهم، وأدّى ذلك إلى قيامِ الكثير مِنْ دُولِ العالم بتدريسِ لغة أُخرى في مناهجها المدرسيّة والجامعيّة لتصبح لغةً ثانويّة إلى جانبِ اللّغة الرسميّة المُتداوِلة داخل الدّولة.  إنّ تعلّم اللّغات يُساهمُ في تقديمِ العديد مِنَ الإيجابيّات للإنسان؛ إذ يعدُّ تعلّمُ لغةً أُخرى في السّنوات المُبكّرة من العمر مفيداً جداً،  فيساعدُ على تعلّم القراءة والكتابة بشكلٍ أفضل؛ ممّا يُؤدّي إلى تطوّرِ المهارات الدراسيّة والحصول على علاماتٍ مُرتفعة في المدرسة،  كما يُساهمُ تعلّمُ لغةٍ جديدة في زيادة الثّقة بالنّفس؛ لأنّها تُساعدُ في تطوّرِ القُدرة على الاتّصالِ والتّواصل بين الأشخاص، وأيضاً في الحصولِ على فُرصٍ مُناسبة للعمل أو التّعليم العاليّ.

والتي تطوّرت مع مرور الوقت بسبب استخدامِ العديد من اللّهجات المحكيّة معها؛ ممّا ساهمَ في إضافةِ مجموعةٍ من المفردات والتّراكيب اللغويّة الجديدة لها،
